Zero Degrees: Winning gold for the outdoor feature at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2012 in collaboration with Lille Fro and Prue Metcalfe Designs. We introduced the mud-brick greenhouse which was influenced by the highlands of the Himalayas. The aim was to support the Lille Fro charity in raising funds to enable green houses to be built in Indian villages to allow them to be more self-sufficient. All our time was donated when constructing this exhibit for a very worthy cause.
The natural eye-catching greenhouse allowed visitors to the display to be transported to the Himalayan region through a photographic backdrop, and invited to walk the stony path to better view the greenhouse and the nourishing vegetables that grew within – all suited to a high altitude climate including tomatoes, carrots, spinach, lettuce and mustard.
